HumecMax™ Hydroxypropyl Bis-Hydroxyethyldimonium Chloride is a highly effective humectant. Compared to other Humectants such as Glycerin, Sodium PCA, Sodium Lactate, Urea
Humectant (water-binding) efficacy trials at 10% and 30% Relative Humidity showed that HumecMax™ was more efficient than other Humectants.
Adding HumecMax™ to the lotion showed that it can increase the moisturizing effect for 8-24 hours.
A trial of adding HumecMax™ to a wash-off product showed that HumecMax™ was able to moisturize the skin. in products that can be washed off (bath soap, facial soap, facial cleanser)
Use: The main ingredient in moisturizer products for dry skin.
Mixing method: Mix in the water portion of the recipe. can withstand heat
Usage rate: 0.1-5.0%
