Stearic Acid (Stearic: 50%, Palmitic: 48%) is a cosmetic fatty acid blend supplied as white flakes for creams, lotions, balms, sticks, and oil-phase skin-care systems that need body, opacity, firmness, and a richer cream texture.

This grade has a balanced stearic/palmitic profile: stearic acid about 50% and palmitic acid about 48%. Compared with a more stearic-rich grade, this balance gives a smooth fatty-acid structure with strong cream body and a slightly softer, more rounded texture contribution.

Use guidance

• Typical use: 1-20% depending on the desired body and firmness; lower levels may be used for minor texture adjustment
• Finished-formula pH guidance: 3.5-9.0 for normal cosmetic use
• Mixing method: melt and dissolve in the oil phase before emulsification or before cooling an anhydrous base
• Heat until fully melted and uniform, then cool with mixing to avoid graininess or uneven crystallization

Solubility: oil-phase material; dissolves/melts into oils and wax phases when heated. Not water-soluble.
