Calcium Sodium Phosphosilicate or BioGlass (or more often by trade name NOVAMIN)
Calcium Sodium Phosphosilicate Contains calcium, sodium, phosphorous, and silica, which are essential minerals to form Hydroxy Carbonate Apatite (HCA) to form new enamel. Immediately in contact with "saliva" or "water", NovaMin reacts and temporarily raises the pH, releasing calcium and phosphorus to produce an immediate generation of Hydroxy Carbonate Apatite (HCA) on the tooth surface.
Examples of products used Calcium Sodium Phosphosilicate It is a key component such as Sensodyne sensodyne (applied at a rate of 5%).
Recipes that have been used Calcium Sodium Phosphosilicate Do not have water Because when Calcium Sodium Phosphosilicate, in contact with water, is activated and the HCA is released prematurely. (Should be released only in the oral cavity To immediately coat the tooth surface
The formula does not contain water. Since when it comes in contact with water, it will work immediately, it must be in contact with saliva only.
Usage: Can be used in all forms of oral care products such as sprays, mouthwash, toothpaste.
Mixing method: Soluble in water (but the formula does not contain water)
Rate of use:
For oral products: 5-10% (recommended 5%) to reduce tooth sensitivity.
