Properties of Eye Preserved™ (Polyhexamethylene Biguanide)
-High heat resistance, even in formulations that require heat in the mixing/processing process.
- Can be used as a disinfectant that is gentle on the skin, such as in body/facial wipes (wet wipes) or contact lens solution or roll-on/deodorant. deodorant
-Colorless, odorless and non-greasy.
-No formaldehyde is carcinogenic.
- can be dissolved in water directly
- Resistant to UV light, does not deteriorate or deteriorating performance even when exposed to UV light
Eye Preserved™ has a wide germicidal ability. In addition to bacteria that cause spoilage products. It can also kill odor-causing bacteria. (so suitable for use in formulas roll-on/deordorant) and can kill some viruses.
Recommendation ratio of use:
-If used as a preservative for cosmetic formulations, use 0.5-1.5% (for cosmetics sold in Japan, do not use more than 0.5%).
- If used for surface disinfection (eg wet wipes, wet wipes, and kill germs on the skin) use 1.0-1.5%
Warning:
Due to the ability to prevent pathogens Eye Preserved™ is lower than other preservatives such as Paraben in use. Eye Preserved™ in the formula, if used as a primary preservative. Or is it the only preservative in the formula? Be sure that the mixing or production process high cleanliness Do not allow pathogens to enter the system. If you can't be sure, use Eye Preserved™ in combination with other preservatives which can reduce the amount of other types of preservatives that can be used
Mixing instructions:
Eye Preserved™ is an electrolyte, which weakens the cream or gel texture or makes it more difficult to blend the cream or gel. add Eye Preserved™ in the final step After that, when the cream or gel has softened, add more Cream Maker or Gel Maker to the recipe. to adjust the thickness/viscosity as required
Incompatible substances:
Eye Preserved™ is cationic and therefore incompatible with all anion mixtures such as:
- Hyaluronic Acid all kinds
- Pro Polymer , Carbomer , Light Cream Maker , Satin Cream Maker , Luxury Cream Maker , Rich Cream Maker or any group of polymers
Use: for eye products or any products that require extra gentleness, such as Baby-Wipe (baby wipes and face wipes) or any cosmetics used for sensitive skin and sensitive to certain preservatives such as Phenoxyethanol
Mixing method: Can withstand heat up to 80 degrees, can be mixed in the final water solution. Cosmetics must have a pH between 3-8 (3-6.5 is recommended, which is the range that Eye Preserved™ has the highest protection against germs. )
Usage rate: 0.5-1.5%, please read the additional usage ratio instructions above (the FDA specifies that the maximum use is not more than 1.5% of the liquid type, which is 0.3% Active)
Product characteristics: Clear liquid, colorless/slightly cloudy Colorless - light yellow
Solubility: can dissolve in water
Storage: can be stored at room temperature But close the lid of the bottle tightly. and protected from sunlight or heat, the product has a shelf life of at least 2 years
