Lauryl PEG-8 Dimethicone binds water with oil and silicone. It can be used to create a serum or cream texture.
The ratio of water in the formula is in the range of 70-99% (meaning there is a proportion of silicone and all types of oil 1-30%). If there is a lot of water in the formula It will make the formula have a high thickness.
Compatibility List:
All types of Cyclomethicone
Dimethicone 1Cs up to 50Cs (not compatible with Dimethicone 100Cs and up)
All types of Phenyl Silicone
Almost all types of natural oils
Isopropyl Myristate , Isopropyl Palmitate
Usage: As a binder for water and oil and silicone, can be used in all formulas.
How to mix: Mix the silicone well, then gradually add the water to the silicone (if there is oil, mix the oil into the silicone together first, then mix the water together).
Usage rate: 0.5-5%
Product characteristics: thick clear liquid
Solubility: Can dissolve in silicone. or various oils (check Compatibility List above)
Storage: Can be stored at room temperature. But close the bottle cap tightly. Then completely protected from sunlight or heat. The product has a minimum shelf life of 2 years.
