PMAP (p-Methylaminophenol Sulfate, Metol) (Oxidation Base / Primary) is used in permanent hair color

Description of the development of permanent hair color formulas

1. The formula will consist of

(1) colorant is the part that serves to color the hair. It consists of Oxidative and Coupler to achieve the color as shown in the table.

(2) developer is the part that serves to color the hair. To fade the original hair color and let the colorant (Part 1) replace the original color.

Color table when mixing concentration of 0.025M is used (see below for description of concentration calculation).

Description of the method for calculating the reaction intensity between the Oxidative (or Primary, or X-axis) and Coupler (or Secondary, or Y-axis).

Rate % of use in formula = Molar unit concentration (M) x Molecular weight (MW)/10

For example, if desired, magenta (top left) of the color table above) using a color concentration of 0.025M calculated as follows:

Molecular weight (MW) of TDS = 220

Molecular weight (MW) of DPE = 240

% rate of TDS use in formula = 0.025 x 220 / 10 = 0.55%

% rate of use of DPE in formula = 0.025 x 240 / 10 = 0.6%

Molecular weight (MW) data of Oxidative paints (Primary) are as follows:

TDS = 220

PPD = 108

BTX = 250

BHP = 294

TAP = 238

AHP = 240

PAP = 109

4A3MP = 123

PMAP = 172

Molecular weight (MW) data of Coupler (Secondary) colors are as follows:

DPE (HCl) = 240

AHEA = 280

AN=144

ACC=159

2M5AP = 123

2M5HEAP = 167

2A3HP = 110

MAP = 109

R.L. = 110

2MR = 124

4CLR = 145

Amodimethicone 1% (acts to make the liquid stick to the hair better)

Hydrogen Peroxide (35% Solution) 26% (active Hydrogen Peroxide = 9% = 30 volume)*

Disodium Phosphate 0.03% (acts as Hydrogen Peroxide Stabilizer)

Water, the rest is 100%

Description of 3 color adjustments

*Recommendations for adjusting the Hydrogen Peroxide concentration

1. 10 volume developer (=3% hydrogen peroxide or in the above formula, use 35% Hydrogen Peroxide at 8%) for darker hair colors. Can't dye hair that is lighter than before.

2. 20 volume developer (=6% hydrogen peroxide or in the above formula, 35% Hydrogen Peroxide at 16%) can lighten the hair by 1-2 levels.

3. 30 volume developer (according to the example formula above) can lighten the hair in 3 levels.

Use: for hair color products

Mixing method: mix in water

Product characteristics: white-light powder

Solubility: can dissolve in water

Storage: can be stored at room temperature Protected from sunlight and heat, the product has a minimum shelf life of 4 years.
