    PPD (p-Phenylenediamine) used in permanent hair color

    Description of the development of permanent hair color formulas

    1. The formula will consist of

    (1) Colorant is the part that gives hair color. It consists of Oxidative and Coupler to produce the color according to the table.

    (2) Developer is the part that bleaches hair color. To make the original hair color fade and allow colorant (Part 1) to replace the original color.

    Color chart when using a mixing concentration of 0.025M (please see the explanation of concentration calculations below)

    Explanation of how to calculate the reaction concentration between Oxidative (or Primary or X-axis) and Coupler (or Secondary or Y-axis).

    Rate % of use in the formula = Concentration unit Molar (M) x Molecular weight (MW) / 10

    For example, if you want a purple-blue color (top left of the color table above) using a color concentration of 0.025M, calculate as follows:

    Molecular weight (MW) of TDS = 220

    Molecular weight (MW) of DPE = 240

    Rate % of TDS use in the formula = 0.025 x 220 / 10 = 0.55%

    Rate % of use of DPE in the formula = 0.025 x 240 / 10 = 0.6%

    Molecular weight (MW) information of Oxidative (Primary) group paints as follows:

    TDS = 220

    PPD = 108

    BTX = 250

    BHP = 294

    TAP = 238

    AHP = 240

    PAP = 109

    4A3MP = 123

    PMAP = 172

    Molecular weight (MW) information of Coupler (Secondary) group paints as follows:

    DPE (HCl) = 240

    AHEA = 280

    AN = 144

    ACC =159

    2M5AP = 123

    2M5HEAP = 167

    2A3HP = 110

    MAP = 109

    RL = 110

    2MR = 124

    4CLR = 145

    Examples of hair coloring recipes in the colorant section (give hair color)

    The remaining water must be 100% complete.

    Cetearyl Alcohol 10%

    Behentrimonium Chloride (BTAC) 2%

    Ethoxydiglycol 5% (helps the color stick to the hair better)

    Propylene Glycol 5%

    Ascorbic Acid 0.5%

    ActiveProtec OX 1%

    Mild Preserved Eco 1%

    color Primary Hair-Dye (Oxidative) and Secondary Hair-Dye (Coupler) According to the ratio calculated above, e.g. Color TDS 0.55% and DPE color 0.6%

    Example hair coloring formula In the part that is bleaching or called Developer Level 30 Volume (can adjust the hair color to be whiter in 3 steps)

    Disodium EDTA 0.1%

    Cetearyl Alcohol 2.5%

    Ceteareth-20 2.5%

    Amodimethicone 1% (serves to make the solution stick to the hair better)

    Hydrogen Peroxide (35% Solution) 26% (active Hydrogen Peroxide = 9% = 30 volume)*

    Disodium Phosphate 0.03% (acts as Hydrogen Peroxide Stabilizer)

    Phosphoric Acid 0.03% (acts as Hydrogen Peroxide Stabilizer)

    Sodium Stannate 0.03% (acts as Hydrogen Peroxide Stabilizer)

    The remaining Water must be 100%.

    Description of color adjustment in 3 steps

    *Instructions for adjusting the concentration of Hydrogen Peroxide

    1. 10 volume developer (=3% hydrogen peroxide or in the formula above use 35% Hydrogen Peroxide at 8%) for the case of coloring hair darker than before. Unable to dye hair lighter than before

    2. 20 volume developer (=6% hydrogen peroxide or in the formula above use 35% Hydrogen Peroxide at 16%) Can adjust the hair color to be 1-2 levels lighter.

    3. 30 volume developer (as in the example formula above) can adjust the hair color to be 3 levels lighter.

    Usage: For hair color changing products

    Mixing method: Mix in water

    Usage rate: Calculated according to the concentration rate above.

    Product characteristics: light colored flake powder

    Solubility: can dissolve in water limited , very soluble in ethyl alcohol

    Storage: Can be stored at room temperature Completely protected from sunlight and heat. The product has a minimum shelf life of 5 years.
