Black sesame extract has many health benefits because it contains many beneficial nutrients such as essential fatty acids, antioxidants, vitamins, and minerals.
WeightCare™ Black Sesame Extract is a special black sesame extract with special extraction technology, making it more effective than general black sesame extracts. From the test, it was found to be effective as follows:
1. The ability to reduce sugar absorption, resulting in the ability to help reduce weight and diabetes. Tested at only 1 mg/ml, it was found to have the ability to inhibit sugar absorption (anti alpha glucosidase) by more than 60%.
2. Very high antioxidant capacity, tested at 1mg/ml using DPPH test, has antioxidant activity higher than 30%.
Other benefits of black sesame extract:
1. Rich in antioxidants
- Sesamin, sesamolin, and sesamol are antioxidants found in black sesame that help reduce oxidative stress and inflammation, potentially reducing the risk of chronic diseases.
- Research : A study published in the Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry highlights that sesamin and sesamol exhibit powerful antioxidant properties that help protect cells from oxidative damage.
2. Helps maintain heart health.
- The extract contains high levels of polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFAs), especially omega-6, as well as antioxidants such as sesamin, which help lower LDL cholesterol and blood pressure, improving cardiovascular health.
- Research : Clinical trials have shown that regular consumption of sesame oil reduces blood pressure in hypertensive patients and improves body lipid profiles, which has a beneficial effect on the cardiovascular system.
3. Promote bone health
- The calcium, magnesium, phosphorus and zinc found in black sesame seeds are essential for maintaining bone density and preventing conditions such as osteoporosis.
- Research : A study published in the Journal of Medicinal Food found that supplementing with black sesame significantly increased bone mineral density in older adults.
4. Improve skin and hair health
- Vitamin E and fatty acids in black sesame help moisturize the skin, reduce wrinkles and promote hair growth by increasing blood circulation to the scalp and strengthening the hair follicles.
- Research : A study published in the International Journal of Molecular Sciences showed that black sesame seed extract improves skin barrier function and reduces UV-induced skin damage.
5. Helps the digestive system
- The high fiber content in black sesame helps promote better bowel movements and prevents constipation, leading to better intestinal health.
- Research : A study published in the British Journal of Nutrition found that the dietary fiber from black sesame seeds helps improve bowel movements and supports the growth of beneficial bacteria in the gut.
6. Anti-inflammatory properties
- Sesamin and other bioactive compounds in black sesame have anti-inflammatory properties, which are beneficial for conditions such as arthritis and other inflammatory disorders.
- Research : A study published in the Journal of Pharmacological Research found that sesamin has significant anti-inflammatory effects by inhibiting inflammatory mediators.
7. Strengthen the immune system
- Black sesame is rich in zinc, which is important for immune function and the body's ability to fight infection.
- Research : A study published in the Journal of Nutrition & Metabolism found that zinc supplementation from black sesame seeds boosted immune response, especially in older adults.
8. Control blood sugar levels
- The high magnesium content in black sesame seeds has been proven to help control blood sugar levels, reducing the risk of insulin resistance and type 2 diabetes.
- Research : A study in the Journal of Clinical Nutrition reported that dietary magnesium intake, such as black sesame seeds, was associated with improved insulin sensitivity and lower blood sugar levels in people with diabetes.
These studies provide a solid foundation for understanding the health benefits of black sesame extract. Please let us know if you would like to learn more in a specific area!
