Example of making sunscreen spray with Spray Maker™
Part A:
Water 43%
Glycerin 3%
Part B:
Homosalate 10%
Octocrylene 10%
Spray Maker™8%
Part C:
Water 20%
Safe-B3 5%
Mixing method:
1. Mix Part A together and heat until Part A 75-80c will be a clear liquid ( disperser ).
2. Heat Part B to 70-75c, stir until combined, it will be a slightly cloudy liquid.
3. When Part B has a temperature of 70-75c, blend with a Homogenizer 7,000-14,000 RPM and pour Part A with a temperature of 75-80c into Part B by pouring in a continuous and slow stream. When completely poured, blend for another 20-30 minutes. When complete, set aside to cool down at room temperature. Let the temperature remain at 45c.
4. Mix Part C together. Pour into Part A+B. Mix well with disperser to get Part A+B+C.
5. Pour Part D into Parts A+B+C and blend until combined.
(Passed centrifuge test 4000RPM 30Min, no separation)
Usage: As a cream binder (emulsifier)
Mixing method: Dissolve in oil. Suitable for formulas with a pH range of 3.0-10.0.
Usage rate: 5-10% (recommended 8%)
Product characteristics: Yellow-light brown creamy consistency.
Solubility: soluble in oil
Storage: Can be stored at room temperature. But close the bottle cap tightly. Then completely protected from sunlight or heat. The product has a minimum shelf life of 2 years.
