• Fermentation:
  • Lactobacillus bacteria are cultured in a nutrient medium, often one containing carbohydrates and other essential nutrients to stimulate growth.
  • The bacteria ferment the medium, generating various metabolites such as lactic acid, proteins, and other bioactive compounds.
• Lysis and Extraction:
  • The cultured bacteria are subjected to a lysis process, breaking down the bacterial cells to release their contents.
  • The lysate, which contains the cell wall components and intracellular metabolites, is extracted and filtered to remove any solid residues.
