When applied topically, undecylenic acid is used to treat a variety of skin conditions. It is primarily caused by fungi such as athlete's foot (tinea pedis), ringworm (tinea corporis) and jock itch (tinea cruris).

 

Various uses are as follows:


1. Antifungal Properties: Andesilenic acid has fungicidal properties. This means that it can help disinfect and inhibit the growth of fungus. This makes it effective in treating fungal infections on the skin.


2. Over-the-counter (OTC) products: Undecylenic acid is commonly found in over-the-counter antifungal creams, ointments, and powders. These products are generally applied directly to the affected area of the skin.


3. Athlete's Foot and Ringworm: Andesilenic acid is commonly used to treat conditions such as athlete's foot and ringworm. These fungal infections can cause itching, redness, and skin discomfort.


4. Jock itch: It is also used to treat jock itch. This is a fungal infection that affects the groin and inner thighs. Jock itch can cause itching, burning, and redness.


5. Nail Fungus: Undecylenic acid is sometimes used to treat fungal nail infections. (onychomycosis), although this is more common in topical solutions designed specifically for nails.

Usage: For all types of products that require antifungal efficiency and resistance to product spoilage from fungi

Mixing method: Dissolves in the oil portion of the formula.

Product characteristics: liquid

Solubility: Can be dissolved in ethanol, other organic solvents, soluble in oil, cannot be dissolved in water.

Storage: Can be stored at room temperature But close the bottle cap tightly. Then completely protected from sunlight or heat. The product has a minimum shelf life of 2 years.
