Natamycin is a natural preservative obtained from the fermentation of Streptomyces natalensis bacteria.
It has good effect on controlling Yeast and Mold, but is weak against bacteria. Therefore, it is usually used together with Nisin , which has good effect on controlling bacteria.
When used in formulas as a preservative, it can be claimed to be Preservative-free because Nisin is not on the list of preservatives specified by the FDA.
Usage: For all types of products that require preservatives.
Method of application: Dissolves in water, works well in pH range 4-7, should be used together with Nisin to make a broad-spectrum preservative.
Usage rate: 1-3%
Product Description: Light colored powder
Solubility: Soluble in water.
Storage: Can be stored at room temperature, but close the bottle tightly and keep away from sunlight or heat. The product has a shelf life of at least 2 years.
INCI Name : Natamycin, Cyclodextrin
*Before producing finished cosmetics for sale, formula developers or manufacturers must always perform challenge tests to determine the efficacy and suitability of preservatives for the cosmetic formula before production and sale.*
