Pot assium Thioglycolate Used in hair removal products (hair removal) by reacting with the hair, causing the hair or hair to become damaged and fall out.
Please study the instructions for use carefully before use.
1. Potassium thioglycolate There is a natural smell of the substance. Formula of the finished product It is necessary to use perfume adequately. to mask the smell
2. Pot assium thioglycolate can easily cause oxidation. Please avoid heat over 40 degrees (recommended 30 degrees) and air.
3. Packaging the finished product after mixing. It should be in packaging that can protect the formula. Do not let it come into contact with the air. such as vacuum tubes
4. Water used in mixing the formula containing Pot assium thioglycolate. It must have the highest purity because if it has a metal charge, Calcium thioglycolate There will be a color change. Born purple
5. Pot assium thioglycolate Can irritate the skin Do not use beyond the specified level.
6. Appropriate packaging materials for successful formula packaging should use glass, ceramic, if it is plastic. Must use Polyethylene (PE) plastic only.
Formulas should be used ActiveProtec™ OX at 0.6% to help prevent formula discoloration.
Dilute Potassium thioglycolate solution 42% in water and add the alkalizing agent (potassium hydroxide and/or calcium hydroxide)
step by step, while keeping the temperature below 30 °C. Add this phase to the formulation below 30 °C and adjust pH to 12.4 with
potassium hydroxide. Homogenize with a triple roll mill.
Choice of alkalizing agent: calcium hydroxide is preferable to sodium hydroxide and potassium hydroxide because it is less irritating due
to its lower solubility and resulting buffer capacity. A saturated Ca(OH)2 solution is present at pH 12.4.
All used raw materials (emulsifiers, emollients, fragrances etc.) should be stable under alkaline conditions at pH 12 – 12.5.
Usage: for hair removal products, hair
How to mix: Mix in water. Please study the usage details above.
Usage rate: 10-15%, the formula must have a pH range of 12-12.5, FDA allows a maximum use of not more than 16.8% (or equal to Thioglycolic acid 5%).
Product characteristics: Liquid
Solubility: can dissolve in water, ethanol
Storage: Can be stored in a cool, dry place. Completely protected from sunlight, heat , and air. The product has a minimum shelf life of 2 years.
