Properties of Carbomer:
-Can't tolerate electrolyte recommended to use Pro Polymer or Xanthan Gum which can tolerate electrolyte instead)
- Can't tolerate acidity (pH less than 5) when the formula is acidic. The gel texture will not form. If the formula requires a low pH, acidic, use it. Pro Polymer or Xanthan Gum or Hydroxyethyl Cellulose instead

How to use Carbomer:
1. Dissolve Carbomer in water (or water-phase) using the amount according to the desired gel thickness. Recommended starting at 1%
2. Add alkali, for example Triethanolamine with the ratio between Triethanolamine : Carbomer approximately 0.5:1 (using Triethanolamine 0.5% with Carbomer 1%) until 1.5:1 (use Triethanolamine 1.5% with Carbomer 1%)
3. People or blender until the gel texture is obtained.
*Other ingredients can be added either before or after gelling But if it is an ingredient that cannot tolerate acid. Should be added after gel formation because Carbomer is acidic. May destroy non-acid resistant ingredients. Therefore, these ingredients should be added. After adjusting the pH with alkali in step 2,
In case you want to get clear texture Formulated with a high proportion of ethyl alcoho, recommended. AMP (2-Amino-2-methyl-1-propanol) in neutralizing instead of other alkalis
