Sodium Bicarbonate is used to adjust pH in highly acidic formulations. For example, used to adjust pH in AHA/BHA formulas. Including use as a neutralizer (adjusts skin's pH) after using high-concentration AHA/BHA.
For example, in Peel-Off Gel, a high concentration of Glycolic Acid (>15%) is applied. Leave it for 15-30 minutes and rinse it off. Use Sodium Bicarbonate mixed with water and wipe over the face. to adjust the acidity of the facial skin returned to normal by using Sodium Bicarbonate at a level of 10-15% dissolved in distilled water. which may not be able to dissolve completely There will be some sediment left because Sodium Bicarbonate can be dissolved in water up to about 9%. Try to stir until the sediment spreads all around. Then wipe it on the skin all over. Leave it for at least 10 minutes.
