Normally, only Vitamin A in the form of Retinol and Retinal (or Retinaldehyde ) is most effective in anti-aging and acne reduction, but there are limitations of both Retinol and Retinal is unstable, which shortens the life of the product, and Retinol can be highly irritating to the skin.
Hydroxypinacolone Retinoate was therefore developed. To be as effective as both Retinol and Retinal but with better stability This makes it easier to use in cosmetic (or drug) formulations. And most importantly, Less skin irritation than Retinol
