Dosage recommendations (Concentration that FDA, Thailand and Europe allow):
4% (=2% active) Rinse-off antidandruff hair care (dandruff treatment shampoo)
4% (=2% active) Rinse-off cleaning products (bath soap, bar or liquid, for treating septic derm)
1% (=0.5% active) Leave-on hair products that does not wash off, such as tonic)
0.5% (=0.25% active) Leave-on skin care (skin care cream product)
Zinc Pyrithione may cause an allergic reaction. Should be patch-tested before normal use.
Zinc Pyrithione is insoluble in water. and insoluble in oil Mixing time in the formula Blend to distribute evenly throughout the recipe. And the formula should have an appropriate level of viscosity. Enough to keep the Zinc Pyrithione powder from precipitating.
For maximum efficiency in eliminating dandruff, use with Dandruff-Guard™.
*Avoid using Disodium EDTA or any type of Chelating Agent in the formula to prevent EDTA from reacting with Zinc Pyrithione (reaction Doesn't affect Antimicrobial efficiency of Zinc)*
*In-compatible with non-ionic surfactants
*Avoid using Oxidants such as Peroxides in formulas that use Zinc Pyrithione as they will cause Zinc Pyrithione to deteriorate*
Usage: Can be used in anti-dandruff formulas. and solve the problem of seborrheic skin
Mixing method: Mix in water or oil by blending at high speed to distribute evenly throughout the formula.
Usage rate: 0.1-4% (Do not exceed 4% or equal to Active Zinc Pyrithione 2%. Please see additional details about FDA regulations above)
Product appearance: white liquid
Solubility: Cannot dissolve in water or oil. But it can be spread well in any product.
Storage: Can be stored at room temperature. But close the bottle cap tightly. Then completely protected from sunlight or heat. The product has a minimum shelf life of 2 years.
