Climbazole is an anti-dandruff agent that works against the growth of Malassezia furfur, which causes dandruff. by making the fungus unable to grow

(Mechanism of action: Inhibits the synthesis of Ergosterol, a sterol important for fungal epithelization.)

What are the strengths of Climbazole compared to other anti-dandruff agents?

1. Climbazole is licensed. Can be used in cosmetics (Please see the FDA's terms of use for safety below)

2. Can be dissolved in Alcohol, Glycols and detergents (surfactant), making it easy to mix in shampoo formulas. It is commonly dissolved with detergents, no need to add any more solvents.

3. It can act in a relatively wide pH range (3-8), and is resistant to heat (70 degrees, 30 minutes without loss) and light resistance.

Use: for therapeutic products and prevent dandruff

Mixing method: dispersed in water first and therefore mixed in the shampoo formula which will be dissolved in the detergent

Usage rate: 0.1-0.5% (FDA allows maximum use of not more than 0.5% in formula)
