Anti-Sweat™ Aluminum Chlorohydrate is an antiperspirant that has been enhanced efficacy, allowing it to spread better, resulting in a more effective sweat suppression.
Anti-Sweat™ can inhibit sweating and reduce body odor (deordorant) due to its antibacterial effect.
It is an exceptionally dispersible type, making it suitable for use in anhydrous, antiperspirant and deodorant cosmetic formulations, such as in deodorant powders or roll-ons, which are based on silicone or alcohol.
Compare the effectiveness of anti-sweat and anti-odor protection, from least to most:
Aluminum Chlorohydrate < Aluminum Zirconium Trichlorohydrex GLY < Aluminum Zirconium Tetrachlorohydrex GLY < Aluminum Zirconium Pentachlorohydrex GLY < Aluminum Zirconium Octachlorohydrex GLY
Further advice on making Antiperspirant/Deordorant formulas
-Anti-Sweat™ can be used in 2 types of formulations: 1. with water 2. without water (e.g. alcohol-based deodorant powder or roll-on)
-If it is a water-based formula, it should be in a base with a small amount of water (not more than 2 times the proportion of Aluminum Chlorohydrate). The reason is that the feeling on the skin when used should be dry, light, not wet. Other ingredients that evaporate quickly, such as alcohol, can be used instead.
- If it is an anhydrous formula, such as a roll-on stick product, it may be alcohol or silicone based, or it may be in a powder form, which can use Talc powder as a base . Anti-Sweat™ powder will not dissolve in the formula, but will dissolve and work when it comes into contact with the user's sweat.
-pH should be in the range of 4-6.
-The formula should contain Disodium EDTA 0.1-0.2%.
- If mixed with water, the liquid may become cloudy. Leave it for about 24 hours and the liquid will become clear.
Incompatible Ingredients:
- Salicylic Acid in all forms
- Anti-Sweat™ is highly electrolyte-rich. To form a cream, only a Cream Maker/Emulsifier that can withstand electrolyte must be selected.
Example of a light deodorant serum formula:
Water part:

Cyclopentasiloxane (Low-Odor Cyclomethicone) 4%
Silicone Gel (Thick & Smooth, Cyclomethicone Base) 2%
Titanium Dioxide Transparent (15nm, Dimethicone Coated) 0.5%
Steareth-21 1%
Steareth-2 1.5%
