Astaxanthin is not water soluble. If you want to use it in a drinking recipe, choose to use it.

Astaxanthin Astaxanthin (2% Biosynthesis Powder Dispersed in Water)

or

Astaxanthin Astaxanthin (2.5% Algae Extract, water dispersible powder)

Only then can it be dispersed in water. Got a cloudy (not clear) liquid.
