Hi, the pH of the skin and hair is on average 5.5. Skin and hair, therefore, should not change or disturb the pH of the skin or hair. However, the right pH does not mean that it has to be 5.5, but refers to the range. that is close to this level but not much lower or much higher For example, it is very alkaline. It will cause dryness of my hair and skin. Notice if you try to use alkaline soap. (Glycerin soap) to wash your face or wash your hair, you will find that it makes your skin or hair dry/hard. The pH level of the member's formula at 7.1 is not a problem because it is close to 5.5 [/quote. ] Hello, recently we tried adding acid.
Triethanolamine down only 0.2%, intending to adjust PH down a bit, it appears that Emulsion is unstable. From the original product texture, soft and smooth. but after putting
Triethanolamine down into the product's crumbly texture like soil. We've heard that adding acids and alcohals affect the stability of the emulsion. I want to know how we should fix between ; 1. Cut
Triethanolamine out of the formula (PH 7.1 is enough as suggested by Staff) 2. Replace Emulsion with another one (originally we used PEG-40 with
Glyceryl Stearate SE ) 3. Add more Emulsion (previously we used 2 of them together, 8%, which we think is enough). Please give advice. Thank you.
